ZANU PF has trained the Harare Province Zimbabwe National Liberation War Collaborators Association,(ZILWACO) leadership in self-help projects before they go out to train their members. At least 70 members were trained in candle making, soy milk making, perfume making, bread making and dish wash making among others.Addressing the members during training, chairman of the ZILWACO ,Cde Pupurai Togarepi challenged the members to go and empower others.“I have seen great products displayed here, it shows the capacity you have to go and cushion others. Go out there and teach other members how to make these as you have learnt today. The sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe were imposed so that people go against their government. However when you learn to make these products along with other people you would have taught, we will not feel the impact.”Harare Province ZILWACO chair ,Cde Ben Mubayi Sango, said the members had accepted the call by the President and First Secretary of ZANU PF ,Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa.“We have accepted the call by our President to implement self-help projects and that our country is open for business and indigenisation, this is why we are implementing these projects. The adage says if you train a woman, you have trained a nation and if you look at most of the people being trained here are women who are resilient and have been marginalised for a long time, for that reason they are out to prove the point that age is nothing but a number.”Harare Province has 3600 ZILWACO members.
