His Excellency, President and ZANU PF First Secretary Cde E.D Mnangagwa has today urged ZANU PF Members to remain focused and result oriented towards scaling up the implementation of the Party Manifesto and National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1).
President Mnangagwa said this whilst addressing Politburo members during the 359th ordinary session of the Politburo which was held at the ZANU PF Party Headquarters in Harare.
President Mnangagwa’s statement comes after the Party held its Provincial elections across the country's ten (10) Provinces.
“I trust that you all had a joyful festive season albeit punctuated by the fact that we had to conduct our Party Provincial Elections. This was due to the realisation that we will be holding by-elections during the first quarter of the year, hence the need to have substantive provincial structures.
“Irrespective of the outcome of our deliberations, the Party must remain focused and result oriented towards scaling up the implementation of our Party Manifesto as well as the National Development Strategy1 towards the attainment of our Vision of a prosperous and empowered upper middle income society,” President Mnangagwa said.
His Excellency President Mnangagwa went on to highlight that there were no winners or losers within the Party, but rather it is the Party that wins as such people had availed themselves in order to grow the Party. He further encouraged Party members to conduct themselves honourably.
“As we deliberate on the report of the elections, I urge all members of the Party to be mindful of the fact that in our Party, there are no winners and losers. It is the people and ultimately the Party that wins. Party cadres who did not make it in the recent elections must avail themselves, their experiences, skills and competencies to build and grow our mass Party.
