ZANU PF Information and Publicity Department Director Cde Farai Marapira has commended the level of journalism in the country.
Speaking at the Zimbabwe Media Commission Workshop being held in Bulawayo, Director Marapira highlighted that despite warnings that Media personnel can misquote him following his appointment, he has not met such.
He said when he was appointed in July this year, a lot of people warned him that he needed to be wary of the media as they were prone to misquoting sources and this would land him in big soup as he represented the biggest revolutionary Party in Africa.
He however commended the level of journalism he has witnessed.
"We come to Media as a vehicle which feeds the opinion of the populace and this is where we get our interest as a political Party, as ZANU PF," Cde Marapira said.
"It is an honour to say not a single journalist who has misquoted me, misrepresented what I have said or dealt with any comment of mine in a malicious manner and that speaks highly of the level of journalism."
