ZANU PF expels Tsenengamu ……. Intransigence & disparaging of senior members cited
THE ZANU PF Politburo at its 337th ordinary session unanimously agreed to expel former Youth League Political Commissar Godfrey Tsenengamu for “intransigence and continued disparaging of senior party members”.Cde Tsenengamu was initially suspended by the Politburo last month for a year and relieved of his position in the Youth League alongside former Youth Affairs deputy secretary Cde Lewis Matutu.The duo were also required to attend the Chitepo School of Ideology during their suspension.Addressing the post media briefing of the 337th ordinary Politburo session, ZANU PF Secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu, said the meeting had directed the Chitepo School of Ideology to target Youths in their trainings and teach them the correct Party values.“The Politburo committed its support for the programmes of the Chitepo School of Ideology and that they continue them at provincial and ward level. Emphasis of the college is to target the youths as they are the future and inculcate discipline.The Party noted some of the issues bringing the Party into disrepute are hinged on the indiscipline of Party cadres hence for Chitepo School of Ideology to take a leading role in redirecting Party members.As such a unanimous resolution was passed at the 337th session that the former Youth league Political Commissar Godfrey Tsenengamu be expelled with immediate effect due to intransigence and continued disparaging of senior Party members”. Cde Mpofu added that the Party in the new dispensation will not hesitate to crack the whip on errant members. He said the Politburo had also received reports on the activities of POLAD in particular its recent Economic Summit which was graced by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.Cde Mpofu said a detailed report was presented by the National Political Commissar on the 5 million campaign strategy as the Party prepares for the 2023 elections.He said the strategy will afford the Party to review the 2018 Party manifesto and its implementation.
