ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Chirumanzu-Zibagwe Cde Chokururama has commended Johane the 5th of Africa International Church for the development it is doing in Mvuma.
The church, which is headquartered in Mvuma, is currently holding its 3rd Annual Conference in the Constituency.
Speaking during the conference, Cde Jacob Chokururama said the church must contusion to discharge its duties of praying for the country.
"I want to commend Johane the 5th of Africa International Church for the development it is bringing to Mvuma and ask that the church continues to play its role of praying for the country," Cde Chokururama said.
"I came here once when the place was still a bush but today I see so much development that has occurred. This is what our President, His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa talks about and I commend you for that."
Also speaking during the Conference, the church Founder Archbishop Dr Andby Makururu preached unity, peace and development to the Party leadership that was present.
"I thank you for coming to grace this Conference. We are here to pray for our country and we are grateful to the leadership under His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for giving us the freedom of worship which we enjoy. I encourage you to promote unity, peace and development as this is crucial for the growth of our country."
The church's Annual Conference has brought delegates from Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe. It is being held under the theme "Growing and consolidating the church towards sustainable development."
