Midlands Province Minister of Provincial Affairs and Devolution Cde Owen Ncube says the private sector plays an important role in the economic transformation hence government will continue to support them.
His remarks were made during his first meeting with the Midlands business community.
Speaking during the meeting, Minister Ncube reiterated His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa's mantra of building the country with local resources which is aimed at uplifting the lives of the people of Zimbabwe leaving noone and no place behind.
"This engagement is proof of a strong and fruitful relationship that exists between the Government and the Private sector. The Second Republic ably led by His Excellency the President Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa recognizes the important role played by the Private sector in the social and economic transformation of the country. With the Devolution thrust it is now all about local solutions to local challenges," Cde Ncube said.
"This meeting comes on the backdrop of the formatiom of a new Government under the able leadership of His Excellency ,the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa whose people -centred transformative agenda saw him being given another five year term to lead this country.
"Government will therefore,continue to play its facilitative role for the Private sector businesses to grow.Government has implemented various initiatives to support the Private Sector. Policies that promote ease of doing business have been implemented to support the Private sector. Furthermore we are working tirelessly to create an enabling environment that attracts both local and Foreign Direct Investments to stimulate economic growth."
Many strides are being made by the Second Republic to ensure the ease of doing business for companies to thrive.
