ZANU PF Secretary for War Veterans League Cde Douglas K Mahiya says chimbwidos and mujibhas are valued because of the role they played in Zimbabwe's liberation struggle.
He said these remarks during the Chimbwidos and Mujibhas Association meeting held at the Party headquarters this Saturday.
"You have remained steadfast as mujibhas and chimbwidos from the time that we fought for Zimbabwe's freedom from colonial rule up until now. You must realize that you are a valuable asset to the Party and country and this is why His Excellency President E.D Mnangagwa made sure that the War Veterans League was formed so that you can use this channel to communicate your grievances.
"Do not compare yourselves with other members in the League because you are important in your own way."
Cde Mahiya took time to encourage the Association members to "follow the Party principles and guidelines or else risk being labeled as indisciplined. Respect your leadership and the channels of communication that you have been given so that your challenges are handled effectively."
10 representatives from the country's 10 Provinces gathered to discuss issues affecting their Association.
