A four-member delegation from the ZANU PF Women’s League will attend this February’s Pan African Women's Organisation PAWO Congress scheduled for Namibia.The Congress is expected to take place from the 26th to 28th of February 2020 and the delegation will leave ahead of the scheduled start.ZANU PF Director for Women's League Cde Oliver Mandipaka said preparations for the Congress are well on course."Women’s League head of delegation will be our Political Commissar Cde Mabel Mbowa who will be joined by the deputy minister of Women’s Affairs Cde Jennifer Mhlanga, Secretary for External Relations in the Women’s League Cde Irene Mutumbga and Deputy Secretary Administration for Women’s League Cde Musa Ncube,” Cde Mandipaka said.“Registration is in process with protocol guidelines and administrative arrangements given. We will contribute to the PAWO Constitutional review. There are some outstanding issues such as the introduction of a PAWO Chapter in our own backyard.”PAWO was founded at a forum by a group of women on 31 July 1972 in Tanzania at the time which it was called the African Women's Conference. The Dakar Conference assumed the name PAWO.
