… women are the backbone of our Party’s mobilisation machinery

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said negative traits where women would pull each other down have no space in Second Republic.
Addressing the National Assembly of the ZANU PF Women’s League, ZANU PF First Secretary and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa said women must take the leading role to ensure the broad empowerment of women and girls across all aspects of life.
“Negative traits where women would pull each other down have no space in Second Republic .This has always had no place in our Revolutionary Party,ZANU PF .
“You must take the lead as women to ensure the broad empowerment of women and girls across all aspects of life. That way, we guarantee a prosperous and just economy that meets the needs of both current and future generations,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also challenged the women’s league to continue demonstrating that they are the backbone of our Party’s mobilisation machinery.
“I challenge you, as the women’s league, to continue demonstrate that you are the backbone of our Party’s mobilisation machinery, and have the weighty responsibility to grow and keep our membership galvanised. Though your individual and collective efforts, the young, professionals and non –professionals must find their way into the Party.ZANU PF ihomwe inokwana munhu wose.We must continue to spread our wings far and wide. Together with the Commissariat and the Hebert Chitepo School of Ideology, you must ramp up your mobilisation and cardership development programme,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also added that the ZANU PF Government will continue to ensure that programmes for women’s’ empowerment will be facilitated and supported
“On our part as the Party and Government ,we will continue to ensure that programmes for women’s’ empowerment will be facilitated and supported .The ZANU PF Government is fostering a conducive environment for you to showcase your pontential,while your enriching ides and perspectives help advance our national development agenda,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnanagwa also said the Women’s league is the nerve centre of the Revolutionary mass Party.
“Going forward ,the Women’s league ,as the nerve centre of our mass Party ,is called upon to continue rooting itself in the founding ideals ,values and principles of the Party and always avail yourselves to wholeheartedly serve our nation. This is a cornerstone for the ongoing renewal, modernisation and growth of our Revolutionary movement.
“Our individual and collective commitment, discipline, hard work and focus to attain shared goals provide the requisite energy to transform the country.Yo must, as the women’s league ,take a keen interest in accelerating the successful implementation of policies ,programmes and projects that help lift many our people out of poverty into prosperity,” said President Mnangagwa.
