Chikomba West Member of Parliament, as well as ICT Minister Honorable Tatenda Mavetera, says her job is to serve the people as instructed by His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
Speaking during her address at the Johane the 5th of Africa International Church meeting in Chivhu this Sunday, Minister Mavetera could not hide her excitement at the church's development thrust which augment Government’s.
"Thank you Archbishop Makururu for inviting us here as it truly shows that you uphold the word of God which says you must pray for your leaders. Development is not done by one person but everyone. Our President, His Excellency Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa says "Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo", and Chivhu will indeed be built by its own people. Thank you for mobilizing our youth to stop the drugs and substance abuse and for our girls to desist from promiscuity.
"We are here together because where there's a church of God, we as leaders, we will be there. President Mnangagwa has taught us servant leadership. He has taught us to stay with the people and to work with and for the people. Leadership indeed comes from God."
Minister Mavetera assured her support for her constituents and donated 10 bags of cement towards the construction of toilets, 100 chicks, and 100 United States Dollars for a chicken breeding project.
