As Zimbabweans continue to heed to His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa's call to build their country, Miners For ED Mash West Provincial Chairman Cde Moses Mupeiwa has built a church for the National Apostolic Faith Mission of Holy Ghost in Alabama, Kadoma.
The churches whose role in society can never be underestimated continue to pray for peace, unity, and development.
Speaking about the development, Cde Edmund Dru Kucherera, the National Vice Chairman and Spokesperson of Miners For ED said the organization appreciates the work that the churches do.
"The church helps people to understand that each person has gifts and talents and all must utilize those for the greater good of the community and the nation as whole. A worshipping church breaks down many of the barriers including racial, educational and cultural barriers that often separate people in communities . For that reason, we stand committed to building our communities and complement the work being done by Government and churches," he said.
Mashonaland West Chairman Cde Moses Mupeiwa of Shinget Mining and Milling Pvt Ltd said, "This will also serve as center of Hope where youths will come to learn about life skills and issues to do with anti-drug and substance abuse. Phase two of the project will witness us building a safe shelter for at least 100 orphans and vulnerable children.
Mash West Miners For ED is also running an ongoing campaign on Safety and Health capacitating its members on responsible mining.
The apostolic church accommodates 350 congregates and is led by Archbishop E Chindiya. The church will be handed over to the community on the 7th of July this year.
