ZANU PF Youth League says it will not sit and watch malcontents derail the strides being achieved under the Second Republic.
The Secretary of the Wing Cde Tino Machakaire made the remarks during the National Executive Committee NEC meeting held at the Party headquarters this Thursday.
Cde Machakaire also urged the NEC members to educate the people to embrace the new currency.
"You are all aware that the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issued a Monetary Policy last month that saw the introduction of a new structured currency ZiG short for Zimbabwe Gold. The introduction of the new currency is meant to address the state of price and exchange rate instability in the economy. The ZiG is expected to serve as a medium of exchange and store of value," he said.
"In order to rebuild the market confidence and value, I enjoin all of us to embrace this new currency. Let us all educate our fellow Comrades about this positive development in our economy. We are very much aware of some malcontents in our contents who are bent on sabotaging our newly introduced currency. Let them be sternly warned that their days are numbered.
"As the Youth League, we will not sit and watch them do whatever they want, derailing the positive strides being made by the Second Republic."
