THE PLIGHT OF THE MASSES IS OUR PREOCCUPATION: CDE MUGWADI
ZANU PF Director for Information and Publicity Cde Tafadzwa Mugwadi says the revolutionary party was founded on the shoulders of the masses hence its preoccupation with the needs of the people. This follows tweets by disgruntled G40 elements and MDC Alliance’s leadership which fear being booted out of the MDC structures after the Supreme Court ruling of last week which declared the current MDC structure illegtimate. Speaking during a live interview with Zimeye, OpenParly and 263Chat this afternoon, Cde Mugwadi said the Party is not at all worried about the goings on at Harvest House. “What is high on the table of ZANU PF is that its machinery of implementation which is government headed by the President Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa who is our First Secretary delivers on the promises enunciated in the people’s manifesto in the 2018 elections,” Cde Mugwadi said. “That is what is on our table to ensure that we have delivered enabling infrastructure for investment, to ensure that we have created a social environment where people can thrive and uplift themselves in terms of living standards. Those are things that are on our table. Those are the things that we have defined as Vision 2030. In any case the MDC does not give us any challenge because soon Harvest House is going to turn into a flea market or a vending place because there won’t be any political party to talk about. The MDC has collapsed over the years.” Cde Mugwadi questioned why the MDC had approached the courts if ever they knew that these courts do not serve any judicial purpose.
