There are times when I have questioned certain occurrences in my life only to understand them later.
I am quite sure you have as well. It could be the denial of a visa, a delayed promotion, being left at the altar, losing a baby and the death of a spouse. The list is endless.
All these are events that leave us with more questions than answers and mounting that frustration too. It is only later when you put one and two together that you realize why that particular thing has happened.
It is only ideal to leave it to the Supreme being, Mwari to deal with the issue as according to his will seeing as he is omnipotent, omniscient and you know the rest.
Have you ever looked back at the trends in the world and how there is a continued trail of destruction by the Americans? Looking closely at this trend and trying to understand the hidden truths, it's a fight for total control of the world.
However in the face of resistance, America has proved beyond any reasonable doubt that they do not fear the war of weapons or guns.
They knew the African had a religion and destroying that religion was the only way to conquer.
Many years later, we struggle to decolonize the mind of men and women who bleach because they feel becoming light is being enlightened.
Divisions in the families, churches and political parties take centre stage as people strive to become the heroes.
Ask me why, again, we go for elections? To select leaders you say. Under whose recommendations do we do this, I ask? The same men and women who throw terms such as the rule of law, human rights abuse, democracy and so on.
Why has the media been so awash with these explosive files of celebrities wrapped up in this gays and lesbians issue? Is it to normalize it?
I have no idea why this is happening but all I know is that there is a need to return to the drawing board of our Creator or Mwari and make things right. Is there anything wrong with the indigenous churches? Not at all. Why because I believe they play a significant role in advancing the cause of that particular country. They celebrate a people and their culture. They understand the value of who a people are.
Did we not have strong structures of the court system that dealt with wrongs and put punitive measures to correct the wrongs?
There was a time many years ago when I sat in a diary meeting with the late Alexander Kanengoni and my colleagues. Under discussion was the Arab spring and the possibility of seeing that in Zimbabwe.
To the late Deputy Editor, may his soul rest in peace, it was impossible. In his mind I am sure nothing of such a nature could happen and that the security forces could avert any such thing even in its planning stages.
Years later, we witnessed an attempt which saw the destruction of property worth thousands of dollars as opposition MDC supporters took to the streets marching towards the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission and Rainbow Towers where the results were being announced by Priscilla Makanaka Chigumba (Congratulations are in order Madame).
The West has stopped at nothing to disrupt the peace and tranquility prevailing in Zimbabwe. Continuously, it creates divisions in line with their English saying "divide and rule."
It is surprising how even with the attempts by His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa to have the Gukurahundi issue resolved, some are working tirelessly to plant seeds of displeasure due to a few pieces of silver which they cannot even take to the grave.
Look back at the wars that the West has caused over the years. Egypt, Ukraine, Palestine is all painted with a picture of how lives and livelihoods have been disrupted and how all these pave way to the West becoming richer and richer.
Having lost that big brother title of governing the world, clearly the only resolution seems to lie in playing the bully.
All Africa-development oriented developed countries among them Russia and the People’s Republic of China are being negatively labeled so that the West tries to regain the lost control.
Their hunt for influential people does not stop. They watch these influential people over a couple of years and then place a bait in order to sway them into their thinking. The directionless are given houses and trips abroad in order to uproot them from any potential threat.
But what is the threat? The ability to open the minds of the indigenous people to the realities of their country. The ability to help their people to love themselves and their country. The ability to help people develop their country.
The countries which has leaders that have realized this potential are slapped with sanctions, negatively labeled, while the conformists enjoy top ranking in categories defining them as governors.
What am I saying? I am simply saying love yourself. I am saying there is more to yourselves as a people than assuming another.
How do we even do that? By going back to our roots. What are those roots? It starts with the culture that the West has defined as heathen. That culture which the colonizers church has said is satanic in order to capture the mind rendering us unfit for anything but to be controlled.
In King Leopold II's letter to the Belgian colonial missionaries in 1883 he wrote:
"Reverends, Fathers and Dear Compatriots: The task that is given to fulfill is very delicate and requires much tact. You will go certainly to evangelize, but your evangelization must inspire above all Belgium interests. Your principal objective in our mission in the Congo is never to teach the niggers to know God, this they know already. They speak and submit to a Mungu, one Nzambi, one Nzakomba, and what else I don't know. They know that to kill, to sleep with someone else's wife, to lie and to insult is bad. Have courage to admit it; you are not going to teach them what they know already. Your essential role is to facilitate the task of administrators and industrials, which means you will go to interpret the gospel in the way it will be the best to protect your interests in that part of the world. For these things, you have to keep watch on disinteresting our savages from the richness that is plenty [in their underground. To avoid that, they get interested in it, and make you murderous] competition and dream one day to overthrow you. Your knowledge of the gospel will allow you to find texts ordering, and encouraging your followers to love poverty, like “Happier are the poor because they will inherit the heaven” and, “It's very difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of God.” You have to detach from them and make them disrespect everything which gives courage to affront us. I make reference to their Mystic System and their war fetish – warfare protection – which they pretend not to want to abandon, and you must do everything in your power to make it disappear. Your action will be directed essentially to the younger ones, for they won't revolt when the recommendation of the priest is contradictory to their parent's teachings. The children have to learn to obey what the missionary recommends, who is the father of their soul. You must singularly insist on their total submission and obedience, avoid developing the spirit in the schools, teach students to read and not to reason. There, dear patriots, are some of the principles that you must apply. You will find many other books, which will be given to you at the end of this conference. Evangelize the niggers so that they stay forever in submission to the white colonialists, so they never revolt against the restraints they are undergoing. Recite every day – “Happy are those who are weeping because the kingdom of God is for them.”
Only those with ears have heard.
