ZANU PF Provincial Chairman Cde Daniel Garwe challenged the Mashonaland East leadership to help mobilise more support for the pending February by- elections candidates for Seke, Goromonzi South as other provinces has done.
Cde Garwe said unity of purpose was very important at this stage as it gives emeries no room to manoeuvre, as it has been witnessed in other constituencies like Lupane East and Beitbridge West were the party trounce with high margins.
National Political commissar Cde Mike Bimha who recently toured all the six constituencies going or by election on February 3, emphasises said unity of purpose which he witness on the day , will enable to triumph not only in Mash East by in all pending by elections including the urban seats.
The two constituencies, Seke and Goromonzi South are two of the peri-urban constituencies in the provinces, fall vacant following recalls by CCC interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu.
Meanwhile, Cde Washington Zhanda, Goromonzi south candidate said efforts of support mobilisation were noticed and commented, as he was in the process of maximising party support in the constituency through voter registration, identification card distribution and support mobilisation ahead of February 3 by-elections.
Cde Zhanda will battle it out with two other candidates from CCC.
Seke Constituency candidate Cde Munyaradzi Kashambe said he feels the electorate now fully understand the ideologies of ZANU PF, which are development and people oriented programs.
Cde Kashambe has long terms plans for the constituency as he intend to establish a good relations between farmers and contractors.
“We want to bring more contractors in the areas, be it in tobacco and other horticulture farming, farmers have the land but struggle to find inputs, so contractors will cheap in on a win- win situation, we will guide against bogus contractors,” he said.
