Mines and Energy Development Secretary, Cde Paul Mangwana, has encouraged Secretaries across the 10 Provinces and Wings to keep abreast with issues affecting the industry.
Speaking during an induction workshop held at the ZANU PF Headquarters this Thursday morning, Cde. Mangwana encouraged the Secretaries to meet regularly in order to share ideas.
"I would like to thank you all for coming as we merge our ideas together to find solutions affecting the mining industry. This is the first meeting since inception following our amended Party Constitution," he said.
"The complete emancipation of Zimbabwe can only occur when we have total control of the mining resources of our country. Since the advent of the Second Republic by His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa bold economic interventions have been made to improve the livelihoods of our people."
He encouraged players to grow the industry to 100 United States Dollars billion industry. He added that the Mines and Mining Act must be a guiding tool for the Secretaries.
