President Mnangagwa has said the nation must continue to give due respect to the pioneers of the liberation struggle.
Giving his opening remarks at the 374th ordinary session of the Politburo at Party Headquarters, ZANU PF First Secretary and President, Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa said he was pleased to meet the leadership of Ex-Detainees and Restrictees Association on the welfare of the brave liberations fighters.
“I was pleased therefore pleased to meet the leadership of our Ex-Detainees and Restrictees Association. We must continue to give due respect to these brave pioneers of our liberation struggle .This will address additional aspects in relation to this matter,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also urge the young people to respect the Party leadership as well to tap sound guidance and wise counsel from the Party seniors which remains key to a stronger Party.
Meanwhile in the same vein of the liberation of the nation, President Mnangagwa also said independence celebrations will be held in Murambinda.
“The event will yet again allow us to celebrate our rich liberation war history with the ordinary people at the grassroots level, who remain the true beneficiaries of all our efforts,”said President Mnangagwa.
