PRESIDENT and First Secretary Cde E.D Mnangagwa has urged Zimbabwe not to be carried away
In his address to the 340th Ordinary Session of the Politburo, President Mnangagwa said Government through the National Covid 19 taskforce, remains seized with ensuring that transmission of the pandemic is minimised.
“The numbers of positive cases continue to rise with the majority attributed mainly to our returning residents. We are thankful that to date, the number of the deceased has not increased and remain at four, while those who have recovered are now 46.
“Lets us not relax but remain vigilant
He commended the Party for increased efforts in educating the grassroots membership about the Covid 19 pandemic.
“I would like to commend the Party for its increased visibility in educating our grassroots membership on Covid 19 pandemic.
“It is also noteworthy that in the face of the Covid 19 pandemic, Party members have demonstrated community spirit
“This is who we are as Zimbabweans, Let us continue practicing such acts of love and unity, in the true spirit of Ubuntu,” he added.
Despite limited resources due to economic sanctions imposed
To date, Zimbabwe has 320 confirmed Covid 19 cases, four deaths and 46 recoveries. The recovery cases are as a result of Government’s commitment to ensuring healthcare remains a priority as enshrined in the 2018 People's manifesto.
