His Excellency the President and ZANU PF First Secretary Cde E.D Mnangagwa yesterday commissioned 20 buses in Gwanda where he revealed that it was time those in rural areas must equally benefit from Public Service Commission buses for ease of transportation.
"We have many civil servants working in rural areas in our districts and provinces and we are giving them these buses for ease of transportation", President Mnangagwa said.
President Mnangagwa is fulfilling one of the 2018 ZANU PF manifesto promises of prioritising transport and communication by facillitating socio-economic development.
President Mnangagwa went on to say that the buses will be shared among the 8 provinces and the buses are expected to reach every corner of the country leaving no one and no place behind.
"We are handing over these buses to the local leadership and they should look after them well", His Excellency said.
His Excellency went on to say that we must look internally and develop Zimbabwe by the resources we have.
We must not cry because of these sanctions we must look internally and look outside the box and develop our country stone upon stone, brick upon brick on the resources given to us by God", President Mnangagwa said.
The Buses will benefit civil servants in the following provinces: Matebeleland South Province 2 buses, Matebeleland North Province 2 buses, Midlands Province 3 buses, Manicaland Province 3buses, Masvingo Province 2buses, Mashonaland Central Province 3 buses, Mashonaland West Province 3 buses and Mashonaland East Province 2 buses.
