ZANU PF Politburo members led by the ruling Party’s Secretary General Cde Obert Mpofu today toured the Chitepo School of Ideology offices under construction in Harare to appreciate the progress done so far.
The building which is almost complete will house offices and lecture rooms as the school continues to offer ideological training across the country.
Speaking after the tour, the Secretary General said his delegation is impressed by the progress made.
"We are glad to be here to witness the progress that has been made in the construction of the Chitepo School of Ideology. We are impressed by what we have seen here," Cde Mpofu said.
"This is a very important centre of the Party especially as we are introducing the National Youth service. The Chitepo School of Ideology will be used to conscientize our youth.
"We are currently overwhelmed by the number of inquiries from people who want to be associated with the college."
Cde Mpofu took time to thank the contractors and engineers for the hard work as well as the Communist Party of China CPC for the support it has provided.
The Chitepo School of Ideology offices mirror the Julius Mwalimu Nyerere School of leadership in Tanzania to which the Party also sends some of its cadres for training.
