"Patriotism, loyalty, consistency and persistency pays," says ZANU PF Secretary General Cde Obert Mpofu.
This he said when he congratulated Dj David Masomere who was given a tractor by His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for the work he did during the just ended campaign period leading to the victory in the August 23 Harmonized General Elections.
The gift comes at a time that the country prepares for the summer cropping season and will go a long way in alleviating the land preparations in Dj Masomere's district.
Speaking at the Party headquarters, Cde Mpofu said Masomere exhibited sacrifice, hence this honour.
"The young man has actually had to risk even his job to serve the Party as a Dj and master of ceremony for all the major functions of the Party presided over by His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa," Cde Mpofu said.
"He has not shyed away from the Party like other comrades in certain organizations even in the civil service. He has sacrificed all that to support his Party, to support his President, and to support his country, and here we are. He has now been honoured by His Excellency and other well wishers who have been impressed by the work he has done. We are very happy that he is here and we are very proud of him and we hope the Party can reward him more."
Speaking on the timing of the gift, Dj Masomere said, "I am happy that the tractor has come at a time like this since the people lost the cattle they use to plough. We will use it to plough the fields, even my own piece of land."
