ZANU PF Director for Information and Publicity, Cde Farai Marapira says the planned July 31 demonstrations failed because the people of Zimbabwe put their country first.
Speaking go during an interview from his office, Cde Marapira said, “It’s the 31st of July, we are in our offices, everyone in Zimbabwe is working. There is nothing really. It’s business as usual. We are building our country, brick by brick, stone upon stone under the leadership of His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. If anything, this speaks to the confidence the nation has in the leadership of President Mnangagwa and in all the economic agenda we are pushing. The people have their trust in him. There’s peace, there’s stability. The people are working to ensure they build their country. We build a better future. We appreciate the people of Zimbabwe for putting their country first. They do not allow any insurrection to occur. They are no longer being part of that. They have realized that it is only the leadership of President Mnangagwa which can take us to that promised land and 2030 we continue on that journey. It’s just noisy on social media. We have always said what is noisy on social media is barely a whisper in real life.”
