Midlands Province Minister of Provincial Affairs and Devolution Cde Owen Ncube says more programmes will be availed as the Second Republic seeks to uplift the lives of marginalised communities.
Speaking at the tour of the Gokwe North District Hospital, Cde Ncube said the very important occasion provided insightful appreciation of the critical Health Service Delivery System in Gokwe North District and Midlands Province in general.
"We are gathered here to witness the fruits of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe ,Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa's bold decision to implement the Devolution and Decentralization Agenda as Government has adopted a people centred approach that brings services closer to the people hence the state of the art facilities availed here at Gokwe North District Hospital," Cde Ncube said.
"The Second Republic is upgrading all clinics and hospitals to modern healthcare facilities.This is inline with our National vision to provide quality health for all by year 2030.
"The Second Republic under our visionary leader, His Excellency ,the President, Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is committed to revitalize the health delivery system in the country. The following Departments are now available here at Gokwe North District Hospital to offer critical services.These include: Outpatient services, Maternity services, family and child health services, OI services and Theatre services, Rehabilitation and Laboratory services, X -Ray services and Pharmacy among others.
"Governments massive capacitation of Gokwe North District Hospital has made it a referral centre for 21 health facilities and it caters for health needs of all 36 wards in the District. More clinics, equipment and facilities will be availed as we seek to up all marginalized areas and communities through funding from Central Government and its Partners."
President Mnangagwa's vision is that which is aimed at ensuring an upper middle income society by the year 2030 and efforts are being made to see this vision attained way earlier than anticipated.
