Her Excellency, The First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa and ZANU PF Secretary for Environment and Tourism says the role of the mother is beyond measure as she is the epicentre of her household and family.
Speaking after the National Clean-Up exercise at the Party Headquarters this Friday, the First Lady noted that keeping the environment clean is very crucial to ward off diseases.
"Ndiri kunyanyo taura kumadzimai. Ngatigarei takashambidzika sedzimuri. Musha ndi amai. Zvese zviri pamusha nemhuri zvinotangira pana amai. Mai ndivo mudzidzisi kuti tinofamba sei muhupenyu. Ndivo zve vanodzidzisa vana zvehupenyu kushanda nekumuka vachiziva kuti basa ripi rinoitwa makuseni, mangwanani nemasikati," the First Lady said.
"Tisinga kanganwi mwana sikana. Mwana wechi sikana anofanigwa kuziva achiona mabasa akanaka anoitwa na amai, kwete amai vanoita zvakaipa. Tinenge tichito wumba mwana sikana uyu kuvakira ramangwana nekuti achava amai mangwana.
Her Excellency noted that the country is currently grappling with Cholera yet this could have been avoided by ensuring clean environs.
"Iko zvino nyika yedu mukaitarisa tiri muma tambudziko eCholera. Zvirwere zvekuti tinokwanisa kuzvidzivirira tisina kuenda kuchipatara. Chino konzera Cholera, tsvina. Saka mai ngavamire vakasimba kutangira mumba vachi zoenda kunze," she said.
"Hongu tirikuzviona marara azara kwese kwese. Tikapinda mudzimba izvozvi tinowana kuti tinoshayiwa pekuisa gumbo kana musoro chayiwo, disorder inenge irimo. Saka izvozvi hurudziro yangu yakakurisa iri kumadzimai kuna amai, ngati iseyi mitemo yakanaka inowumba vana vedu, inochengetedza vana vedu pakuveko kwedu, pakusaveko vana vagare vachiziva kuti amai vakati taurira izvi. Izvo zvichiitiwawo nemi amai, vana pamwe chete musava siye."
