Logos University has honored Johane the 5th of Africa Archbishop Andby Makururu for the tremendous work he is doing in Africa.
Speaking during the ceremony held in Harare this weekend, Logos University's Dr David Molapo described the man of God as an accomplished man.
"We believe God is raising leaders and we want to honour these leaders. This Doctor of Philosophy being awarded is earned not honorary. We have looked at the accomplishments, work life experience and as the International Admissions Board awarded the Doctor of Christian Leadership and Management," he said.
"Dr Gomo is not only adding value to the country but the church and society. Professor Moyo was also awarded last year for the work he is doing."
Archbishop Makururu said the church has a lot to do in the world.
"We want to build a church from Zimbabwe which speaks about this country and is alive to its growth and that of the country at large. God has therefore chosen leaders to embark on this journey to grow the church and lead to its rise across the world," the Archbishop said.
He added that the church prays for the ills bedevilling the country and encourage their members to follow the government regulations.
