ZANU PF Director General Cde Dickson Dzora has called on the Party staff to ensure clean environs as they continue observing the charge by the First Secretary and President, His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa declared every first Friday of the month as a national clean-up day in order to keep the country's environment clean.
Speaking during the exercise, Cde Dzora said it is important to go a step further and call to order those seen littering.
"You know every first Friday was set aside by our President Cde E.D Mnangagwa for us to keep our environment clean. We need to go a step further to rebuke those we see littering so that we make sure we keep our places clean," Cde Dzora said.
"We see how cholera is resurfacing because of lack of clean environs and government has also put in place a Statutory Instrument to deter this littering. We must also go further to challenge those we see littering as it is our duty to remind them how detrimental it is to do so."
Cde Dzora added that it is also crucial to teach the concept of separation of waste.
"There is need to also teach people to separate waste and how they can make money from thrash working with waste management companies."
