JACK MA FOUNDATION CHIPS IN: MORE KITS TO FIGHT COVID19
The Jack Ma foundation has made another medical donation to Africa in a move aimed at ensuring that the continent like China emerges victorious in the battle against the deadly Corona Virus Covid-19. The donation was made via the African Union and Africa Centre for Disease Control is expected to distribute the medical equipment to countries on the continent and will help in strengthening and intensifying surveillance, laboratory testing and case management. Among the donated equipment are test kits, ventilators, face shields and thermal guns. The Chinese billionaire previously donated 20 000 laboratory diagnostic test kits, 100 000 medical face masks and 1 000 protective suits and face shields to the Government. Earlier this month another donation of 500 ventilators, 200 000 suits and face shields, 2 000 thermometers, one million swabs and extraction kits and 500 000 gloves was also received. Jack Ma tweeted “Our 3rd donation to Africa will immediately be made to @_africanunion and @AfricaCDC. This includes 4,6m masks, 500k swabs and test kits, 300 ventilators, 200 000 clothing sets, 200 000 face shields, 2 000 thermal guns, 100 body temperature scanners and 500 000 pairs of gloves.” Meanwhile the 65 diasporas who recently jetted into the country from the United Kingdom and have been camped at the Belvedere Teachers College are on a rampage of posting videos complaining about the college. This group has demanded to be booked in hotels because the college has no water. Others are slowly awakening to the poorly run MDC councils which have gone abroad asking for funds for smart cities. Some have posted videos on twitter complaining that there is no one is cleaning and sanitising the available tap separating the accommodation block of possible negative covid19 patients from the positive ones. Zimbabwe is on high alert concerning the virus and has extended the National Lockdown period by a further two weeks pending review.
