The Harare Provincial Coordinating Committe, has been charged with the task of forming structures ahead of the National People’s Conference set for next month. This follows the Harare DCC elections, Chitepo School of Ideology training and subsequent graduation.Speaking at a meeting in Harare, National Political Commissar, Cde Victor Matemadanda said this process was expected to create a strong Harare base.“If you want to be a good leader, do not create problems for yourself. There is a structure of the Party which you cannot change. People should see the value in you as you follow Party procedures and rules. Stand guided by the Party policies. Settle disputes and solve problems,” Cde Matemadanda said.“Every stage of the revolution has its heroes. This should serve as a warning to those who want to stop this process. Go out and form structures of the Party. Your data should be a true reflection of what is on the ground. “Don’t try to control the outcome of these elections as the verification process through a head count will be done. No Central Committee member will have anything to do with the structures unless they are asked by the DCC to do so. This should be a democratic process that wins the day. Let us work together and produce the strongest structure for Harare and remove any desire to do otherwise. We must move in this New Dispensation as one people with one leader and one vision.”Cde Matemadanda highlighted that there was no rush to finish the restructuring process so as to avoid making mistakes seen in the past.
