GREAT REVOLUTIONARY GONE

A great revolutionary hero is being laid to rest at the National Heroes Acre today. A man of great valour, a man cherished Gone to soon many of us think, because the fight is far from over as seen from the continued fights even from our very own kith and kin. But from the late Cde Absolom Sikhosana it is his life experience that we must reflect upon in order to keep the good fight of liberating our people. According to the ZANU PF Secretary for External Affairs Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi the Party and nation have lost a great leader. “The family, Party and country at large has lost a very committed, loyal and hardworking cadre. It is extremely appropriate for him to be accorded the honour of National hero because he more than deserved it. He was friendly and approachable and you always felt comfortable around him,” Cde Mumbengegwi said. “As a Secretary for Youth, his leadership to our young people for so many years was remarkable. I always used to joke with him about how a 70 year old could be a youth and he would say, years are just a figure and that it was just a question of orientation. “His sign of leadership was how disciplined our youth were because we never had problems. They were ideologically clear. He was a teacher to the young people and where necessary he would use authority for them to follow gwara remusangano.” Other Party members have described him as a unifier full of humility.
