THE Ministry of Health and Child Care has set up a COVID-19 National Response Centre at Parirenyatwa Hospital in the capital.The centre has been set up following donations from Higher Life Foundation, Netone, Telecel and Econet.The harmonised toll free number is 2019. The Minister of Information Technology Communication said the donation made to the Ministry of Health is meant to create a two way communication channel between patients and doctors without having to bring patients to the hospital.He said 15 rural hospitals have been connected but are yet to go online.The Minister of Health and Child Care Dr Obadiah Moyo gave an update on the Corona Virus confirming that one patient has died. Zororo Makamba died at Wilkins Hospital yesterday in the afternoon."Wilkins recorded it's first death as one of the patient succumbed to the illness. His parents have given us permission to say out his name. His name is ZORORO Makamba"The minister said that according to the deceased's doctors, Makamba had complications that he was being treated for.He then urged the nation not to panic but to strongly encourage people to get screened especially persons with an underlining condition or any elderly persons as well as those that are pregnant.
