Let me reiterate that we need one another especially now, more than any other time,” said the First Lady. “Today we are going to witness the graduation of the first group of women and youths who completed their training and will be awarded certificates of achievement. The message of entrepreneurship including bee keeping, bakery, fish farming and horticulture are important in our lives.” The First Lady said the programme was meant to complement Government’s economic turnaround agenda. She pledged to continue to play a part in economic activities through various humanitarian programmes. Amai Mnangagwa said the fish farming fed into the ZANU PF First Secretary and President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision 2030 that seeks to create a middle class economy “Empowerment, food security and poverty eradication are our ultimate and common goals, let’s all work together to achieve this in our various provinces,” Amai Mnangagwa said. “Let me assure you that through this compliance every time and wherever we are, we will survive this scourge and continue our journey towards vision 2030.  Corona virus may delay us but definitely will not stop us from reaching our destination.” The First Lady through her charity work and various empowerment projects has become a beacon of hope for many struggling youths and women across the nation. She has been a mother to all orphans cutting across the racial and political divide. The First Lady implored the ZANU PF Women’s League to expand its fish farming training programme. “Because of love, love towards each other as women, I am sowing the seed of love for you to care for it so that it produces more seeds to be sown also amongst other women without any discrimination,” said Amai Mnangagwa. “True love knows no boundaries and every woman deserves a chance to be loved and empowered. Let us all walk together.” Sowing the seed of love, Amai Mnangagwa turned to the Bible and reminded the delegates of the story of the Good Samaritan. “In the Bible story of the Good Samaritan, we learn that he saw someone in need and felt love and compassion to help. In like manner, I am calling upon all of us women to be driven “Without any discrimination, let us show love to one another, support each other, empower each other, carry one another’s burden and finally stand in solidarity with each other.” The First Lady also took time to thank the organisers of the graduation for adhering to the covid-19 regulations. “All the organisers of today’s event, I salute you for the compliance to covid-19 regulations that I have seen starting from the entrance where there are sanitisation and temperature checking points right up to here where I am seeing everyone in their masks,” said the Amai Mnangagwa.
