The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has assured parents and guardians that necessary precautions have been put in place to ensure the safety of candidates and invigilators to the ZIMSEC June examinations which start on Tuesday the 30th.
There have been concerns raised
In a statement released on June examinations, the Minister Cain Mathema said all necessary precautions have been taken to assure both invigilators and candidates are safe.
“To this end, thermometers, disinfectants, face masks, wash facilities and hand sanitizers have been procured for all examination centres to protect from COVID-19. Examination centres have also been disinfected in line with Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) guidelines.”
Minister Mathema thanked the President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa and First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa and the Inter-Ministerial Taskforce on the fight against COVID-19 for the guidance and assistance in getting the centres ready for examinations in line with the WHO guideliines.
