As drama continues to unfold in the MDC-Alliance and other MDCs following a Supreme Court ruling which is set to reconfigure the waning opposition party, the party’s recently reinstated Secretary-General Senator Douglas Mwonzora escaped an accident which some have already labelled an internal assassination attempt on Chamisa’s long-time rival. Mwonzora confirmed having been involved in a minor accident while coming from Senator Elias Mudzuri’s house. He said he had not been hurt but that the car was damaged when he rammed into a truck in front of his vehicle. Since the Supreme Court ruling this Tuesday, Nelson Chamisa sympathisers among them self-exiled G40 Professor Jonathan Moyo and MDC-A members of Parliament have been at logger heads with equally vocal supporters of the ruling. Chamisa has reportedly been forcing the various MDC A Members of Parliament to sign affidavits declaring their support for him. While the drama unfolds, ZANU PF continue to call for Zimbabaweans to stay at home be safe as the nation rallies support for President Mnangagwa’s #Covid19 Response Strategy
