ZANU PF Zaka Central House of Assembly representative as well as Deputy Minister for Lands and Fisheries, Honourable Davison Marapira says cooperation between China and Zimbabwe will help develop the country.
Speaking to the CGTN alongside a summit on agricultural cooperation between China and African countries.
The People’s Republic of China has continually been holding exchange programmes to help Zimbabwe develop itself through the provision of solutions suited for the Zimbabwean problems.
"We are learning a lot from China. Some 30, 40, 50 years ago was in our category of the developing countries but it has managed to move from that stage to become one of the best first world countries through development of rural areas, through rural industrialization, rural industrialization leading to rural development and that again led the whole country to being developed," Minister Marapira said.
"The other thing about China is modernisation through research and innovation. That has led China to where it is today so that gives us a good lesson as African countries that we should also invest in research, in modernisation and using smart agriculture as a way of increasing production and productivity."
He added that shared knowledge between the two countries would help develop Africa.
