Botswana stands in solidarity with Zimbabwe

 By Margaret Kamba

Botswana President His Excellency President Masisi says his country will continue to stand by Zimbabwe.

Speaking while meeting ZANU PF Secretary for External Relations Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi who is His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa's envoy to Botswana, President Masisi said "We continue to stand by Zimbabwe through its quest to have the sanctions removed. We strongly feel that there are other more civil and modest ways of resolving differences."

Zimbabwe and Botswana have strong ties which they nurtured since time immemorial. Many of the ZAPU cadres went through Botswana during Zimbabwe's struggle for independence.
