25 February 2020African Union Commission Deputy chair, Ambassador Kwesi Quartey, has said for the continent to build a conducive condition to achieve the realisation of SDGs the African Union has called for the sanctions on Zimbabwe to be removed.Speaking to delagtes to the Sixth African Regional Forum on Sustainable Development Goals, African Union Commission Deputy Chairperson Ambassador Kwesi Quartey has said the Union has called for the lifting of sanctions on Zimbabwe to pave way for an even playing field conducive for sustainable growth." We need inclusive involvement of all our people particularly our women and our children , our civil society our politicians, government and the opposition. We need to recognise the importance of organisation."The African Union has called for the removal of sanctions on this country (Zimbabwe) where we are today to be lifted," said Ambassador Quartey.Ambassador Quartey also urged fellow African brothers to embrace science and technology in areas of critical decision making especially building for the future.He also emphasised on the importance of working in unison by respecting and upholding the spirit of organisation across the continent.
