Zimbabwe lands a PAWO influential position 

 Zimbabwe landed a Pan African Women’s Organisation PAWO executive role at the just ended Congress held in Namibia.ZANU PF Women’s League sent a four member delegation led by Political Commissar Cde Maybe Mbowa, deputy minister of Women’s Affairs Cde Jennifer Mhlanga, Secretary for External Relations in the Women’s League Cde Irene Mutumbga and Deputy Secretary Administration for Women’s League Cde Musa Ncube.The Congress was held under the theme 'Accelerate African Women's Action Towards Achieving Sustainable Economic Development Within the Context of the United Nations' Agenda 2030 and the AU Agenda 2063', had the participation from 55 countries.Disclosing the development Director in the Women’s League Cde Oliver Mandipaka it was good to see the team achieving such an accomplishment.“We are happy that the team accomplished the assignment they were sent to do and it is not easy especially in a forum where there is the participation of 55 countries. Zimbabwe was elected into the executive role of being a Representative of International Institutions of the UN economic and social Council.Zimbabwe also chaired the meeting that saw the Constitutional Amendment of the PAWO Constitution.”
