Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals Chief Pharmacist Cde Davison Vuragu says the hospital is currently on 60 percent Vital drug availability, thanks to the interventions by His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
The hospital which currently has some of its wings under rehabilitation, is the country's biggest referral hospital.
Speaking after a tour of the hospital's main pharmacy, surgicals department and stores among others, Cde Vuragu said they hope to reach 100 percent.
"We really appreciate that President, His Excellency Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for the support that has been given to the hospitals. National Pharmaceuticals has been capacitated to provide medicines that are required for delivering the healthcare so we really appreciate that as we see that there has been an improvement," Cde Vuragu said.
"Currently our availability has significantly improved from where we were. We have had support from government through NatPharm and this has raised our availability to 60 percent Vital and we are looking forward to an increase in that."
