SECURITY AGENTS WILL CONTINUE DEFENDING ZIMBABWE: MINISTER NCUBE

The Minister of State Security Owen Ncube has warned rogue elements in the country to desist from such behavior as the security will not hesitate to take its course. Various efforts have been made to destabilize the country in a move aimed at turning the populace against their own government. Such acts have been witnessed in countries like Libya where a striving economy was turned upside down overnight. The Arab Spring saw Libya turning into ruins as the Americans used baseless reasons to invade that country in order to clandestinely loot natural resources. Oil money afforded many Libyan people opportunities for free education among other things. Speaking during a press briefing yesterday, Minister Ncube dispelled the notion that security agents act outside the confines of the law. "The methods used by State Security agents in Zimbabwe are within the confines of the law, the Logan Act and the Patriot Act allow the use of methods which, if adopted by our Security Services, we know and appreciate that they will never see anything in good light until the Land Reform is reversed and the opposition comes to power," Minister Ncube said. "Government and State Security agents, in particular, have a duty to take appropriate measures to protect the flow and integrity of commerce across our borders. 'As State security arms of government, we would like to assure citizens that we are watching the environment very closely and that we shall fulfill our mandate of ensuring peace, stability and development in Zimbabwe."
