Russian Counselor pays ZANU PF courtesy call

By Staff Writer

Russian Deputy Ambassador Vladimir V Zolotov this morning paid a courtesy call on ZANU PF Secretary for External Relations Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi in a move aimed at strengthening Relations between the two countries.

This meeting follows that country's hosting of the International InterParty BRICS and Partner countries Forum in Vladivostok to help fight for equality in the world.

Speaking during the meeting, Cde Mumbengegwi commended Russia for providing a forum for multilateralism as it gives hope.

"As you can see, we participated at a very high level of our National Chairman because we regard this initiative as extremely important. Western powers have dominated the world by default. We are extremely encouraged that the Russian Federation has built this forum to a level that it can fill the gap caused by the break of the Soviet Union."

Cde Mumbengegwi added that he believed that the geographical extent, population, and economic activity are evidence of the power of the forum.

Also speaking during the meeting, the Russian Counselor Cde Zolotov said ZANU PF must continue with its participation.

"Russia appreciates your participation at the just ended multi-party forum held recently in Russia. This forum between political parties is very important for shared opinion and inclusive multilateralism. I encourage you to continue with your active role."
