PRESIDENT SHINES ON GOVERNMENT SUCCESS PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has outlined some of the major successes of his administration as he marked two years since his inauguration in August 2018 following his victory in the July 2018 harmonised elections. Writing on the micro blogging site Twitter President Mnangagwa, said his administration had undertaken several projects across the economic sectors. President Mnangagwa said his government remained committed to improving the livelihoods of Zimbabweans. "Two years ago today, I was inaugurated as your President. I vowed to serve Zimbabwe and its people so that we could move towards a more prosperous future. Zimbabwe is not without its challenges. But rest assured that myself and this government are fully committed to improving our great nation for the benefit of all Zimbabweans." Among some of the major achievements outlined by  President Mnangagwa, include the consummation of the US$4.2 billion Great Dyke Platinum Mine which is already under construction. The US$4b Karo Resources Mhondoro-Ngezi platinum project is also ahead of schedule. On the economic front President Mnangagwa reintroduced the Zimbabwe Dollar after 10 years of dollarization and relying on foreign currency. The fiscal consolidation undertaken On the infrastructure side, President Mnangagwa's administration has carried out several projects across the country. Some of the major infrastructure include the RGM Airport expansion is currently under construction and the widening of Harare-Beitbridge road with 200km set to be completed Also completed is the Chiredzi-Tanganda Road, with the Makuti-Chirundu and Karoi-Binga roads currently under construction. To enhance agriculture production, Government is working on dam projects such as Causeway, Gwayi-Shangani and Marovanyati dams currently under construction. Government has also launched the smart agriculture through Pfumvudza which targets to assist 1.8 million small holder farmers through provision subsidized agricultural inputs. Further to that, Government has brought closure to Land Reform exercise In to order to protect industry from the effects of Covid-19, Government has provided a ZWL$18 billion Stimulus Package, to help regenerate our economy post-COVID19.
