President Mnangagwa urged the Party to participate in economic growth

 ZANU PF First Secretary and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has directed all Party organs to play their part not only to grow the support base but also to grow the economy of Zimbabwe.

Giving his opening remarks to the 389th ordinary session of the Politburo today at ZANU PF Headquarters, President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa said collectively as Politburo and respective Heads of Departments of the Party and secretariat of the central committee must make sure that the conference resolutions and decisions of the Central committee are implemented.

“Principally, we must ensure that all organs, structures and members of the Party play their part not only to grow the support base but also to grow the size of our economy and deliver a higher quality of life for our people.Tisu vene venyika ino.Tisu tine mutoro wekuunza budiriro yatiri kushuwira.“Nyika inovakwa ,inotongwa ,inonamatirwa neve vayo ,ilizwe lakhiwa ,libuswe ,likhulekelwe ngabanikazi balo,

“Collectively as Politburo and respective Heads of Departments of the Party and secretariat of the central committee must make sure that the conference resolutions and decisions of the Central committee are implemented with clear matrix and laid out timelines," said President Mnangagwa.

President Mnangagwa also commended the Party for organizing a strategic workshop Seminar for both the Central Committee and Politburo to recalibrate the leadership on their roles, duties and obligations.

“I also commend the Party for organizing a strategic workshop Seminar for both the central committee and Politburo to recalibrate the leadership on their roles, duties and obligations. These are against the background of dynamic socio-economic and political environment. The Seminar are also timely and should serve to equip the Party on the expectations articulated in the NDS-2,”said President Mnangagwa.

President Mnangagwa also challenged the revolutionary Party leadership to face head-on, contemporary issues such as the impact of ICTs as well as Artificial intelligence, among other trends.

“Equally important is the need for ZANU PF to face head-on, contemporary issues such as the impact of ICTs as well as Artificial intelligence, among other trends, on our body politick and national governance systems' must be proactive and prepared to adapt our Party in line with these developments.

“Our national realities, rich liberation ethos, and the people centered character of our colossal revolutionary Party, should not be neglected," said President Mnangagwa.
