President intensifies call for productivity

 _By Shadreck Gurenje , in Bulawayo - ZANU PF Information Department_President Emmerson Mnangagwa has intensified the call for production to take centre stage in order to revive the economy.The President said the nation will depend on its God-given local resources to develop and attain vision 2030 that seeks to transform Zimbabwe into an upper middle income economy.Addressing thousands of congregants at the National Thanksgiving and Dedication Service, at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Grounds in Bulawayo yesterday, President Mnangagwa urged churches and the nation at large to prioritise productivity in all their projects.President Mnangagwa encouraged the body of Christ to support all government programmes earmarked for the attainment of Vision 2030.“We encourage you to increase productivity in all your respective projects, collectively as churches and in your individual pursuits. Vision 2030 depends on investment by each and every one of us for its success," said President Mnangagwa.President Mnangagwa also said the challenges affecting the nation had been identified and productive mind-sets that will bring solutions were needed.“Challenges have been identified. What we now need are people who come to the listening President with solutions, " he said.President Mnangagwa who is also a devout Christian advised churches to continue playing a key role in protecting the society by preaching and spreading the gospel of unity, peace, tranquility and harmony.President Mnangagwa also urged citizens to safeguard their currency and protect and defend it from all forms of attack.“No country can develop without its own currency. As you are aware, we are now using our own currency and I urge all of us to accept it, use it and be proud of it and also defend it from all forms of attack. There is no going back to the multi-currency system,” reiterated President Mnangagwa.The President concluded by saluting the churches for participating in the National clean-up campaigns countrywide.
