There was pomp and funfair as Masvingo South Constituents expressed their heart-felt joy following the arrival of a ZUPCO bus at the request of the current Member of Parliament Honourable Tanatsiwa Mukomberi.

Videos of women ululating, rolling themselves on the ground, men touching the bus, and getting into the bus to see if it was true were seen.

Route yebus is Masvingo to Nyikavanhu via Rupike, Guwa, Musvovi, Fusira, Nyamande, Magudu, and Nyikavanhu. On its way, the bus passes through ward 25, ward 24,ward 26, part of ward 31,ward 27, ward 28 and ward 29, thus serving a total of 7 out of 10 Wards in the Constituency.

Commenting on the development, Ward 29 Councillor Cde Johnson Mauruse said, "we had to feel the bus and go inside to see if it was really a bus or we were just dreaming. We are very excited about this development and happy with our new Member of Parliament and the work he is doing."

Merlitta Chikwanda from Ward 24 said, "People were very happy with the arrival of the bus. They are saying that it has only been less than a year and this new leader has brought this kind of development. We are grateful to have this new Member of Parliament. We wish that he continues with such good work."

July Charamba said "I want to just board the bus and drop off somewhere and do the same when the bus returns. I am grateful to the Member of Parliament for the work he has done so far and pray that he continues to have more wisdom." 

Honourable Mukomberi said the "grading of the road has brought financial relief to the people in my Constituency. The people were previously being charged exorbitant transport by the cars plying the routes. The coming in of ZUPCO bus has cut the transport cost by almost half."

The Honourable Member of Parliament promised to continue working hard for the people who voted him into office.
