ZANU PF First Secretary and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged the Central Committee members to be united in their deliberations and take heed that there is no one who is superior to others.
In the same vein, President Mnangagwa also added that members of the Central Committee are at the helm of the leadership and must do their best to share strategies on how to develop the country and the Party.
Giving his keynote address at the ZANU PF Central Committee meeting today at Party headquarters, President Mnangagwa said that the Central Committee is called upon to have frank and robust open discussions that proffer solutions on how the Party can move forward.
“The Central committee is called upon to have frank, robust and open discussions. It is at this forum where we identify challenges, and proffer solutions on how we can move forward, united in one direction to realise our common vision.
“We, the members of the Central Committee are all at the helm of the leadership. Regression or progress in our heads together, as one body. We must, therefore, do our best to share strategies on how to develop our country and Party,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also reiterated the call for unity among Party cadres in that they must pull in one direction guided by the spirit of the liberation struggle.
“In all our deliberations, we want unity. There is no one who is superior to others .Collectively, we are what Zimbabwe is, we are what Zimbabwe can be. Never look down upon yourselves, or on others.
“This is in keeping the embedded democratic and people-centered nature of our mass revolutionary movement. The interest of our Party and nation must always come first.
“Let us always protect and preserve the unity that has cemented us as one, since the days of our liberation struggle,” said President Mnangagwa
President Mnangagwa also added that it is the duty of the Central Committee to remain alert and raise political consciousness of grassroots structures so that they become well informed.
President Mnangagwa also added that very Zimbabwean is welcome in ZANU PF and have a role to play for the prosperity of the nation at large.
“All Zimbabweans are welcome in ZANU PF, all of us have a role to play and a contribution we can make, for the prosperity of our beloved motherland, Zimbabwe,” said President Mnangagwa.
