ZANU PF National Chairman, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri has hailed Mashonaland East Province for the unity of purpose it exhibited in preparing for the hosting of the 18th National People’s Conference slated for Goromonzi High next week.Speaking at Goromonzi High School yesterday for the final tour before the Conference begins, Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri hailed the progress made by the various teams since her last visit. “I am happy with the reports I have received. They show that people are working. Well done to the host Province for the good work. The Province has shown a lot of unity and I want to commend them for that. The local leadership has managed to rally the members to contribute to the state we have witnessed. The tents are ready and all other resources needed for the successful hosting of the Conference are in place."She also thanked both government departments and Party staff led by ZANU PF Director for Administration, Cde Dickson Dzora for the hardwork.Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri underscored the need for the organising committe to ensure that delegates to the Conference are well catered for as they are the life line of the event.She also thanked His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa for supporting the organising committee and offering counsel.The National Chairman urged the organising committe to procure as much items needed for the Conference from the Province as it will improve livelihoods."As is the tradition of the Party whenever we host a Conference the local community must benefit. Already the school will benefit from the boreholes and other improvements. Equally the local people must benefit and the organising committe must buy vegetables, tomatoes and other perishables from them as this will uplift their livelihoods".During the tour of the Conference venue, Cde Muchinguri was also shown beasts ready for slaughter ahead of the Conference next week. She was accompanied Politburo members, Mashonaland East provincial members and senior staff members from the Party Headquarters.
