Midlands Province on the road to development: Cde Chiherenge

By Staff Writer

ZANU PF Midlands Province Chairman Cde Edson Chiherenge Chakanyuka says his Province has identified numerous projects under the Second Republic which will churn it into an upper middle income society by 2030.

"We are running around identifying all projects done by the New Dispensation under the able leadership of our President, His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. These through the office of the Minister of State for Midlands Provincial Affairs and Devolution Cde Owen Ncube are being monitored so that the Province envisions an upper middle income society by the year 2030," he said.

"These include road rehabilitation, schools, clinics and hospitals, borehole drilling, energy, the Manhize steel plant and recently the fibre network at Somabhula.

"We are behind and fully support the President's vision of an upper middle income society by 2030 because it will see our people's lives changed."

Midlands Province Minister of Provincial Affairs and Devolution Cde Owen Ncube was recently awarded as the best performing Minister of State.
