His Excellency President Dr Emmerson D. Mnangagwa welcomed Cabinet Ministers on a tour of Pricabe Farm in Kwekwe, providing them with an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the First Family’s agricultural activities.
The tour was intended to enable Cabinet Ministers to appreciate how the First Family is utilising the farm as a model for economic transformation, agricultural productivity and national food security.
Speaking during the tour, the President highlighted the need to constantly advance one’s knowledge in order to improve their current status.
"What we always ask Patrick is whether or not there is anyone currently exceeding our yield per hectare and he says no. He once went to South Africa when we heard that someone there was producing more than we were," President Mnangagwa said.
"What I am trying to tell you is that, whatever you do, measure yourself with the best everytime. Ask yourself if there is anyone who does what you do better than you and learn how they do it. That way you can improve on your current status. This is the philosophy we have here. Kudzidza hakuperi."
Pricabe Farm is known for its maize, wheat production as well as animal husbandry.
