It is eight days before we celebrate National Youth Day in Masvingo Province under the theme "positioning youth empowerment and development towards vision 2030.
In this edition, the Miners for Empowerment and Development members took turns to share their gratitude to the His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for availing numerous opportunities to develop their country.
Cde Laura Malane said that guided by President Mnangagwa's vision, they would leave no place behind.
"Vision 2030 as outlined by our President, His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa focuses on innovation, entrepreneurship and empowerment of the nation as a whole. So this upcoming National Youth Day is highly important to us because who better than the youth can take this country to the next level," Cde Malane said.
"As youth in mining, we would like to take this opportunity to thank His Excellency and our leaders for fighting for us in the liberation struggle in order for us to explore our natural resources today.
"As Miners for Youth Empowerment and Development, our vision is to contribute significantly to the sustainable development and mechanization of the mining industry and the nation at large. As the mantra goes, nyika inovakwa nevene vayo, we are sure leaving no-one and no place behind."
Cde Gabriel Togarepi also said "When I celebrate National Youth Day, I envision a youth coming together putting aside all differences be it political or otherwise, with one vision and one goal which is to build their country. This New Dispensation has given us the opportunities in mining and agriculture amongst others. Let's embrace government policies and build our country."
