CONSIDER GARDENING AS THE LOCK-DOWN CONTINUES

Food is a wonderful thing. Many people across the nation would agree. They would also agree that if there was a more natural and resourceful way to obtain their food they would hope to do it immediately. This can be done by simply planting a garden.  Planting a garden may seem not very helpful to the environment, but it truly makes a positive impact. It benefits individuals, families and the world they live in. Planting a garden is one way everyone can make a difference.  Following the announcement of the extension of the national lockdown for yet another two weeks made by the President, Cde E.D. Mnangagwa. This should be taken as the best time to revive or create a gardening lifestyle which will show a difference in one's life and grow vegetables than to spend money in buying vegetables from the shops when they can be grown at the backyard, balcony or in flower pots. Usually, home grown vegetables test better and fresher because they have not been shipped from elsewhere. Therefore, one would opt to eat vegetables and get the vital nutrients the body needs. Also, these tasty snacks cost lost. Typically, a bundle of vegetables, cucumbers, onions cost way more at the store. On the other hand, one could buy a pack of seeds for the same price but grow more than five times as many vegetables. The first positive reason of planting a garden rather than buying vegetables from the store is that it is more natural.  Commercial companies spray lots of pesticides and other chemicals on their vegetables. If one planted a garden, there would be a less likely need for such chemicals and pesticides. Meanwhile, stay at home and be safe. #Covid19 is real and it kills
